Your ninjas

Two ninjas of the same character at the same level can be very different. What sets them apart is on this page.

Summoning

Every ninja joins your account at Ichiraku Ramen, and what comes out is rolled: the character, the Potential and the Kekkei Genkai.

Ichiraku Ramen screen with the summon once and summon ten buttons, and the Chakra Fragment balance.
Your Chakra Fragment balance sits above both buttons.
  • One summon costs 10 Chakra Fragments. Summon x10 costs 90, which is 10% off.
  • Ichiraku rolls among the 3 unlocked families. An event character stays out of that pool: it only comes from the Special Summon, paid in Special Chakra Fragments.
  • In the Special Summon the chance of a rare ninja is doubled, and every 30 pulls without the featured character the next one is guaranteed to be them.
Special Summon panel with the featured character and the counter of how many pulls are left until the guarantee.
The Special Summon is paid in Special Chakra Fragments and shows how many pulls are left until the featured character is guaranteed.

Potential

Potential is the stat multiplier a ninja is born with and carries forever. It is what makes two Narutos at the same level show different cards.

BandMultiplierSummon chance
Weak×0.8 a ×0.95%
Common×0.9 a ×1.139.04%
Uncommon×1.1 a ×1.330%
Rare×1.3 a ×1.520%
Epic×1.5 a ×1.65%
Legendary×1.7 a ×1.7990.67%
Perfect×1.80.29%
Divine×1.9 a ×2only by improving

Potential enters the math twice: it multiplies each stat, and then multiplies Power again. That is why Power climbs much faster than the Potential gap suggests. Summoning stops at Perfect; above that, only by improving.

Kekkei Genkai

Kekkei Genkai is a second roll, independent from Potential, with a 0.01% chance on every summon. A ninja born with it carries +50% on all six stats, forever.

Because the two rolls are independent, you can be born Weak with Kekkei Genkai, and you can pull a Perfect without one. When someone pulls one, the whole game sees it on the banner.

Levels and XP

Only the squad leader earns XP, and the XP per kill comes from the MISSION's level, not from the enemy that fell. The level curve climbs cubically, so each band costs far more than the one before:

LevelXP to reach itXP per kill
210010
109,30068
25204,800383
501,847,3001,508
10015,694,8006,008
200129,389,80024,008
300441,084,80054,008
  • The final cap is level 2,000, but each form has its own cap before that. The transformation table shows which.
  • At a form's cap the XP is discarded. There is no XP banked waiting for the awakening: a ninja at the cap stops growing until it transforms.
  • VIP gives +10% XP, and the double XP event multiplies on top of that.

What Power means

Power is the number that sums up the card: all six stats added up, multiplied by Potential. It is there to compare two ninjas at a glance, it is what the ranking sorts by, and it is what the Arena checks to decide whether a challenge is fair.

But Power does not enter the damage math. A ninja whose Power is built from HP and Defense hits like any other of similar Power built from Attack, and loses to it in a straight exchange. To know who hits harder, look at the stat behind the category of the moves it carries.

Transformations

Every family has a base form and transformations that open at level milestones. Transforming is permanent, and the new form comes with higher stats, a higher level cap and moves of its own.

FormUnlocks at levelLevel capStrengthSoul Fragment cost
Base form175×1—
Transformation 175150×1.1750
Transformation 2150200×1.26100
Transformation 3200300×1.31100
  • Switching between the forms you have already opened is free, both ways, from the squad card.
  • Each transformation costs Soul Fragments of that character, which come from sacrificing duplicates of the same family.
  • Enemies climb the same ladder: transforming does not break the difficulty, it keeps you in the running.

Sacrifice and Soul Fragments

A duplicate ninja is not junk. Sacrificing one returns 10 Soul Fragments of its family, and those fragments are what pay for transformations and Potential.

  • A transformation costs 100 fragments (the first one goes for 50), which is roughly 10 sacrificed ninjas of the same family.
  • The lock in the list protects a ninja: locked, it is never sacrificed or used as material by accident.

Improving Potential

You can push Potential upward by spending Soul Fragments, one attempt at a time:

  • Each attempt costs 50 fragments and lands 10% of the time. The cost is spent on hits and misses alike.
  • Up to ×1.8, each hit adds 5% to the Potential the ninja has at that moment.
  • From ×1.8 onward the step becomes a flat +0.01 per hit, up to the cap of ×2.
