Expeditions

Whoever is out of your squads does not have to sit idle. Send them on an expedition, pick how long, and collect the reward when they come back.

How it works

You pick a card from the board, a ninja who is out of every squad and a duration. The ninja leaves right away and only comes back when the time is up: you cannot call them back halfway.

While away, they cannot join a squad and cannot be sacrificed, sold, sealed, awakened or used as material. Equipping, changing moves, the lock and skins stay free. A ninja in Offline Mode cannot leave either: wait until you leave offline.

The board

The board always has 3 cards, and each card shows the reward type of that expedition.

  • Using a card removes it from the board and draws a new one in its place.
  • Reroll board swaps all 3 cards at once. You get 3 rerolls a day, and they do not carry over.
  • Reloading the page does not change the board: cards only change when you use one or reroll.

Slots

You have 3 slots, so up to 3 ninjas away at the same time. With VIP you get 5.

Durations

An expedition lasts 2, 8 or 24 hours. Longer ones pay more per hour:

DurationMultiplierCopper Coins (average)
2 hours×11,600
8 hours×1.27,680
24 hours×1.426,880

The amount is rolled when you send the ninja, based on their level at that moment. Leveling up afterwards does not change an expedition that already left. The Copper column is the average for a Lv100 ninja, just as an example.

Rewards

Each card comes up with one of these chances. The higher the ninja level, the more the expedition brings:

RewardChance on the boardWhat it bringsLimit
XP27%XP for the ninja you sentNo limit
Copper Coin27%Copper CoinsNo limit
Equipment20%Equipment pieces, like the loot of a missionUp to 30 pieces per expedition
Soul Fragment14%Soul Fragments of the character you sent12 per day
Chakra Fragment8%Chakra Fragments, for summoning30 per day
Special Chakra Fragment2%Special Chakra Fragments3 per day
Summoning Contract2%Summoning Contract, for summoning pets3 per day
  • Soul Fragments are always for the character you sent. Send the one you want to transform.
  • Equipment comes from the strongest mission you have already beaten. With a full bag you cannot send it, and a piece that does not fit on return is discarded, just like in combat.
  • The reward type shows on the card before you send. The estimate on screen is the average: the exact result can come out a bit above or below.

Daily limits

Rare rewards have a daily limit, adding up every expedition (see the table above). The screen shows how much still fits today.

  • The limit is reserved when you send: if the expedition rolls more than what still fits, it only brings what fits.
  • Limit reached: cards of that type turn gray until the day changes.
  • XP and Copper Coins have no limit.

Coming back

When the time is up, the reward stays in the slot, with no deadline, until you collect it.

  • The Event Log tells you when a ninja comes back and when you collect.
  • The menu gets a badge with how many expeditions are ready.
  • With more than one ready, Collect all takes them all at once.
